WHAT ADVICE SHOULD A PARENT RECEIVE ABOUT TEEN MODELLING?
The consent of a parent or a guardian is required before a teen can model. The parent is required to be the support system for the teen in the cut-throat modelling world. When a parent approaches the London School Of Modelling with the teen in tow, they are advised to help the teen realize the importance of completing their education for a fall back career later in life. The teen is also advised to pursue modelling part time whilst they complete school. The modelling world requires hard work and the right attitude to excel and a parent may have to accompany the teen when they go to work.

It is possible to make good money in this line of work. The experts at the London School Of Modelling will advice the guardian to help the teen manage any money earned as a teen can get overwhelmed and misuse it. A model must learn to live off their savings when there is no work and to save when they receive plenty. A guardian may also require lessons on money management, which is provided at the London School Of Modelling.
SOME OTHER LESSONS THE PARENT LEARNS AT THE LONDON SCHOOL OF MODELLING INCLUDE:
HOW TO MARKET THE TEEN MODEL
A parent is taught how to approach the different modelling agencies and how to use casting websites in order to manage their teen’s career themselves. Years ago, an agent was the only way to get work, but now with the birth of the world wide web there are many excellent casting websites which advertise many of the latest jobs within the modelling world that you can apply for yourself. This way you cut out the agency and save on the 20 to 25 fees. There are many unscrupulous people out to swindle others in the modelling world, and parents should be aware of this; this is why at the London School Of Modelling we advise parents on what to look out for in an agency or casting director.

THE DOS AND DON’TS OF THE MODELLING WORLD
A parent, new in the modelling world can get overwhelmed with the huge responsibility of ensuring that the teen model observes the modelling etiquette required in this sensational world. The experts at the London School Of Modelling know all the do's and don'ts in the industry so are well prepared to steer all parents in the right direction.

HOW TO HANDLE REJECTION
Being rejected can break the heart of a teen. The London School Of Modelling offers parents advice on how to help the teen overcome rejection, which is a big reality in modelling. Since the parent is the support figure for the teen, he/she should learn how to remain positive when there is no work for the teen. No one will get every casting they go to because not everyone is right for every job so knock backs are inevitable in this competitive world. The teen needs the support of family and friends and both the teen and guardian need to think very seriously about whether this an industry with huge highs and lows is one that they want to enter into.

HEALTHY LIVING
A parent learns about the best food for the teen model at the London School Of Modelling and how to retain a healthy way of living. Dieting is not recommended but healthy eating and exercise is. Modelling is largely about outward appearance so you need to stay in shape, look good but remain healthy. It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that the teen exercises and takes care of their skin and hair so that it remains attractive for lucrative contracts. Stress can cause breakouts on the skin and a parent should seek help for the teen if overwhelmed.

HELP TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS
How a teen handles themselves at a casting is very important as they must be well prepared and confident when attending an audition. You only get one chance to impress a casting director and first impressions count. A parent or guardian should help in selecting the ideal clothing for the body type of the teen. The London School Of Modelling experts can advise you on what it best to wear for a casting and how you should have your hair and makeup (for girls).

WINTER FASHION AT LONDON SCHOOL OF MODELLING

This winter we love Tartan and winter orange lighting at the London School of Modelling Studios.

Have a look at two of our beautiful new students below.

A bit of winter colour cheers us all up this time of year.

When a new model attends our studio at the London School of Modelling, our stylists will work with him or her to decide what colours best suit their skin tone and hair colour.

We have a great selection of costumes and accessories for our new models to use so you can create a really varied selection of looks from commercial to edgy and high fashion.

We always say you should think outside the box, trust our stylists and go for something that you would not normally wear when you come down to the London School of Modelling because its your chance to really see yourself looking like a model.

Modelling is a very exciting industry and also competitive so you need to set yourself realistic goals. The industry has also changed a lot over the years and you don't always need an agent to find work as a model.

We have some great reviews from our past students so have a look here
