We have been very impressed with the students that have walked through the doors recently at The London School of Modelling, Paige and Christina WOWED us all with there versatility and comfort in front of the camera! Both of the beautiful blondes really made an impact on set and their images looked amazing! Here's a sneak peak.

35th Anniversary of Vogue!

This year Vogue celebrates its 35th anniversary and who better to grace the cover than British model and fashion icon, Kate Moss! the 40 year old supermodel appears on the May issue of Vogue wearing her own designs for a TopShop collection she has been working on with Sir Philip Green.

Lauren Goodger - All Woman!

Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger is constantly under fire from the media about her size and being labelled as 'fat'. The entrepreneur has since decided to fight back against these claims (rightly so!) by posting a body selfie on Instagram showcasing her beautiful hour glass figure.

Originally an illustrator for vogue magazine, upcoming designer David Longshaw has received global recognition for his contemporary clothing designs. His designs involve hand drawn patters, illustrations and stories being printed on to items such as dresses and jumpers. Bosses within the fashion industry are noticing these designs and

David Longshaws’ designs and modern approach to fashion have already gathered a huge following worldwide and in 2011 was name by Vogue as ‘a designer to watch’. Although his own label was officially launched in 2010, it will come as no surprise to Fashionista’s when he finally breaks in to the fashion world because it’s going to mark a change in fashion and design, as we all know it!

HOW TO DRESS

The colour of clothing worn will make the skin glow or appear dull. We advise models on the right colours to choose for photo shoots. There are different body shapes and the right cut on a garment will flatter a model. LONDON SCHOOL OF MODELLING DOES IT MOULIN ROUGE STYLE

As an ode to our love of Film Noir we did this rather beautiful shoot at our recent London School of Modelling Model Day. We think the photos reflect the Alfred Hitchcock era. Model Wears long flowing black skirt and vest giving a dark sombre look Shoes are very punky with silver spikes and thick heels to add an edge Hair is severe off the face Model poses at dressing table and with phone, all 1950s style We think she looks amazing We love a bit of glitz and glamour at the London School of Modelling and on one of our Model Days we chose a Moulin Rouge theme for some of our models. Look at these gorgeous photos from the shoot. To get the Moulin Rouge Look- opt for feathers and sequins, hot pants, basques, corsets, big eyes, red lips and lots of sexy attitude! Recently we created this Hitchcock style shoot at LSM and we think it looks great. To re create this you need either a big chest with a soft duvet or throw for the model to lay on or an old fashioned dressing table (see if a salon will let you shoot there late at night when they are closed, many often have this type of furniture), you also need 50s style clothing and makeup. Try googling Hitchock girls for ideas. We love these recent LSM Model Day Photos. The girls look fierce in their high fashion outfits and make modelling look effortless. LONDON SCHOOL OF MODELLING IN THE SNOW

We hope you are all managing to keep warm and making the most of the snow! Snow photos can be beautiful so if you can, then try and take some photos outside when it next snows to update your portfolio. Changing Lives at the London School of Modelling

Morning Everyone,

We had another fantastic Model Boot Camp weekend at the London School of Modelling and discovered some great new models out there.

One in particular who was just an inspiration was 50 year old Amanda (pics on this blog) mum of 5 who holds down 3 jobs to keep her family a float.

Amanda is just an amazing woman- she modelled in the 80s but gave it up for her family and has always wanted to try and get back into it - but has never had the time or courage.

She came to my school for the experience and chance to turn her life around and she was amazing in front of the camera.

"Hi LSM

In all honesty I am a person who has made so many mistakes in life especially career wise. However one of the best things I have ever done is attend the "London School of Modelling " It changed my life beyond belief.

Last year due to circumstances I worked non stop in the lowest paid most boring jobs. It left me demoralised, depressed, with low confidence and self esteem. I didn't even dream any more just got on with things like a robot. I even thought about backing out of " Boot Camp" Thank God I didn't.

At 50 years old surely I was kidding myself ? I had worked in the eightys as a model but that was 30 years ago.

It would be impossible to say how a two day course changed my life but it did.

They have a very carefuly chosen team almost like the "Mafia" I loved Becki the second in command.. Just having your make up done and hair was brill.

I have gone from lowest of the low to model in demand. I got regular work as a promo model which suits me best and my emails are full off people wanting me. What you taught me is to go for it. When I go for a casting I honestly think why has anyone else come cos its my job! When they book me I also think I want you to remember me and want and take me for the next job. You taught me the difference between arrogance and confidence there is a big difference.

We are thrilled to announce that Jamie Deacon is now one of the new faces for top Designer Jones & Jones.
