London School of Modelling offer a range of services for up-and-coming models at our 1 and 2 day Model Days and our our longer modelling courses. All of our courses are held at our fantastic luxury LONDON SCHOOL OF MODELLING studios in London. At our model days our experts will discover what type of modelling you could do. We can show you how to pose, how to walk on the catwalk, how to market yourself as a freelance model and how to stand out from your competition. You will take part in photo shoots with industry photographers and have your hair makeup and wardrobe styled by our expert team. These days models can often get into the industry by finding work as a freelance model and using casting websites out there. Most models gave this a positive review and tell us they they have managed to break into the world of modelling this way. We also reviewed the different types of casting websites out there for extra work. Its not just about modelling but also getting into the entertainment world in general, getting your foot in the door and working your way up. LONDON SCHOOL OF MODELLING LOVE THIS SEASON HEAVY EYE MAKEUP

Our makeup artists at the London School of Modelling are always looking out for the newest makeup styles and this season, it seems that heavy, intricate eye makeup is right on trend. Here are some tips when applying heavy eye makeup for photo shoots and some images of our favourite looks. 1) Always Start with a clean eye. Remove any excess makeup with cleansing wipes or warm soap and water. 2) Be careful not to rub your eye too much or you will cause irritation and leave red patchy marks 3) dry the skin thoroughly before starting to apply makeup 4) Apply an eye gel or good moisturiser and leave for a minute before applying makeup 5) however bright or heavy you are going with the eye makeup, start with a neutral colour for a good base 6) Apply heave eye makeup by sweeping layers of colours, one on top of the other to create a rich deep look 7) Use a blending brush to blend colours together 8) Add crystals with eye glue (do not use normal every day glue this could be very dangerous) 9) Always put a tissue under the lower eye lid when applying lots of eye makeup as this will catch the falling particles of makeup and prevent it going all over your face. 10) Apply fake lashes for that extra glamorous look

Changing Lives at the London School of Modelling

Morning Everyone,

We had another fantastic Model Boot Camp weekend at the London School of Modelling and discovered some great new models out there.

One in particular who was just an inspiration was 50 year old Amanda (pics on this blog) mum of 5 who holds down 3 jobs to keep her family a float.

Amanda is just an amazing woman- she modelled in the 80s but gave it up for her family and has always wanted to try and get back into it - but has never had the time or courage.

She came to my school for the experience and chance to turn her life around and she was amazing in front of the camera.

"Hi LSM

In all honesty I am a person who has made so many mistakes in life especially career wise. However one of the best things I have ever done is attend the "London School of Modelling " It changed my life beyond belief.

Last year due to circumstances I worked non stop in the lowest paid most boring jobs. It left me demoralised, depressed, with low confidence and self esteem. I didn't even dream any more just got on with things like a robot. I even thought about backing out of " Boot Camp" Thank God I didn't.

At 50 years old surely I was kidding myself ? I had worked in the eightys as a model but that was 30 years ago.

It would be impossible to say how a two day course changed my life but it did.

They have a very carefuly chosen team almost like the "Mafia" I loved Becki the second in command.. Just having your make up done and hair was brill.

I have gone from lowest of the low to model in demand. I got regular work as a promo model which suits me best and my emails are full off people wanting me. What you taught me is to go for it. When I go for a casting I honestly think why has anyone else come cos its my job! When they book me I also think I want you to remember me and want and take me for the next job. You taught me the difference between arrogance and confidence there is a big difference.
